November 2018: Energy Codes Happy Hour Education Event

Join us for an evening happy hour and dinner seminar that focuses on the City of Houston adopted Energy Codes, and their various applications and calculations as they pertain to the lighting industry. Additionally, sustainability standards such as LEED, and product regulations, will be covered to a smaller extent as time allows.
It is recommended that all attendees bring a copy of the IECC 2015 and ASHRAE/IES 90.1 2013 for reference purposes. 2.0 TBPE PDH hours are given for this course for all attendees. Attendees that wish to qualify for 2.0 IES CEUs or 2.0 AIA LUs will need to purchase the required IES course student materials separately from the IES website at https://www.ies.org/product/ies-seminar-codes-standards-regulations-student-materials/

January 2019: True Colors Neon Manufacturer Tour
Happy New Year! Join us for our second field trip outing. This month's meeting takes us to True Colors Neon, a manufacturer of neon signage. Come out and learn about the process for manufacturing those ubiquitous signage as our host, Dan Doblemann walks us through the stages, including glass bending, gas filling, and final assembly. Space is limited to the first 15 people for this event based on space constraints at the plant, so don't delay in signing up!
